Angry at Madden

I just purchased Madden 08 today. I have a few words to describe this game but none of them should be said in front of women or small children. Before I go any further I must first explain that I am already breaking a rule in my house by even having this game. The last edition I played I got a little too angry and well, let's just say my wife has the new front door she's wanted since we've lived in our home. Now that's off my chest I must say about Madden 08, what the f**k? Yes that is very harsh but when you play this game and in a five minute quarter you can accumulate double digit turnovers, that's just ridiculous. At first I thought I was rusty but this game is buggy. The QB vision is a feature I have never liked and it will not go away. I was told it should only happen when you touch the right analog stick but after much practice and testing they are wrong. Sometimes it comes up automatically. Don't get me wrong - the game looks good and moves fast, but there are simple things that EA refuses to fix. One example is when defensive backs do not look at the ball but can still turn completely around and intercept it or knock it down with little or no effort.

Plain and simple I paid over sixty dollars for a game because I love football. Some say so why are you complaining just play the game. I complain because I paid over sixty dollars and it's the great state of America and when I vote and spend my money it gives me the complete right to bitch. So that's what I'm doing. Thank goodness I have a life or this might have been the thing to drive me over the edge. In a video game world where systems are not cheap, games cost more than half of one hundred bucks and my games are becoming inundated with advertisements (free for them of course) I'm bitching like a wife who's husband is a lazy bum. I promise my next post will be something inspirational. I just had to get that off my chest.
