Privileged

Privileged, what does this word really mean? Like most things it depends on the context of the subject surrounding the word. Here lately I've been looking at the world with several different glasses. I get the opportunity to see and experience both sides in more than just one way, professionally and personally. I get to see the haves and have nots and watch how many will fail, succeed or even give a damn enough to try. Oh, and let me clarify the last portion of the statement. I don't care if Donald Trump is your personal benefactor, if you don't try than you will still fail.

Interestingly enough, I was speaking to someone I know about going back to college or a technical training facility to further my education. I was told that even though my wife has more education than me, I make more money so why would worry about it. This is to me an asinine statement. In the long run, unless you just find you niche in life and make craptastic amounts of money then you need to be educated to move forward in life now or later. This adds to my point - two people with different backgrounds seeing the point of going further in life in two different ways. Point blank, I'm going to get mine no matter what. With education no one can deny what I know and they damn sure can't take it away from me. If you grew up with money it might be easier to get further, but it doesn't guarantee it will stay with you. So you may not have it good but there are ways of getting what you want (legally) you just have to work harder. Stop bitching and go and get yours because I'm going to get mine!
