Disappointment and Frustration

Now this is a topic that most people can wrap their minds around. If you can't than your lying not only to everyone else but more importantly to yourself. Recently I have made some real adjustments to my train of thought on a lot of subjects. The beginning one is Christianity. I believe in the Holy Trinity, the father the son and the holy ghost. But the only problem is the Bible is filled with a lot of rules and I'm new to the game. It's going to take more than just some words from my mouth and maybe some good deeds of my hands to become a good Christian. That's where the frustration begins, knowing that the world is a much different place, including the people on it. Everyday is a struggle just to do the right thing. Most of the time the day ends with me doing the exact opposite. Don't get me wrong it's not anything that would get me on the evening news, well not lately anyway. But in Gods eyes all sins are sins. We've put degrees on the sin. The days ahead of trying to walk the path of a real Christian are difficult and are going to remain to be difficult. Leading right into the emotions of "Disappointment and Frustration". Think about it.

Check out the fellow Paul in Romans 7:18 - he struggled with doing the right thing too. The fight never ends. If we try to fight it on our own - as many do - we are screwed from the jump.

We must remember too about God's grace and mercy ...He loved us so much that he died for all Sin, past present and future...all that's required from us is to believe.

We can't do this walk without him. True belief is an action - daily surrender - submitting to his will for us - he loved us so much - we can't ever repay him - no matter how GOOD we are - but as an act of love - we live for HIM -

Okay, here's what I know. You can't be righteous enough to be pure in God's sight(Romans 3:21-26). Therefore, Jesus shed His blood on the cross to bear in Himself the penalty for your sin. When you truly and humbly repented of sin and submitted your life to Jesus, you traded Him your sin for His righteousness.

That means that when God looks at you, He sees the perfection of His Son - even when you have failed. The point is you couldn't earn God's favor before you were saved and you can't do it now (although God does expect you to refrain from deliberately sinning. Hebrews 10:26-27). That's why you need Jesus. That's why He did what He did.

Now as for personal holiness (living uprightly), you must SEEK GOD for that. It doesn't happen without drawing near to Him. You can live saved and carnal(according to the flesh), or you can lived saved and victoriously free from sin (according to the spirit) Galatians 5:16. But you will only accomplish the latter by pursuing God. He loves you. He wants you - your heart that is. He wants to heal you, change you, and reveal Himself to you more and more. But He won't do it by force. You have to be a willing partner in the relationship. Any of us could easily fall apart if we stopped pursuing God. I know because I've tried! lol!

Here's some more good news. Even when you want to change yourself, you can't! The Holy Spirit is charged with that job(Phillipians 2:13, 2 Corinthians 3:17-18)! And you can rest assured that if you let Him, He WILL do it!
