Judgement

Guilty! Now you've been sentenced and have done your time. Your back in society and trying to resume regular life. Not so easy huh? You see some people say that once you've served your time than you are free to go but society does not let you off the hook. Matter of fact they continue to judge and punish you. Is it right? Well I guess are you asking morally or worldly? Yes there is a big difference. We'll take them one by one.

Worldly, we put degrees on sins and crimes. In our justice system, we have created a hierarchy of crimes that determine what type of punishment and to what degree the punishment will be administered if you are convicted of committing a crime or breaking the law. We all understand this system and for the most part, we all accept that and move one. Now morally which, in my world means biblical, things are a little bit different. A sin is a sin but forgiveness should be given over and over with a true heart. For most people that's hard to do because we are human; we are not the Lord.

Here's a touchy example, Michael Vick. Okay, if you've been under a rock, he fought some dogs against each other and tortured them, was caught sent to jail and now is on release to his home and is confined with an electronic tracker. He can go to work and directly back home. He gets about four hours on the weekends to take care of personal things but no public outings at all. Nothing even as simple as going to the movies. It's been said that he, of course, is going to try to get back tin the NFL, which of course he would - it's what he knows and how he can be rich again. Roger Goodell says that Vick has to show remorse before he considers him. What the heck is that? I understand he broke the law but it's not for Goodell to continue to punish him over his crime.

Brass tax people what do you think of this? I'm not an animal lover by any means, nor will I torture one either, but these were dogs not people. If we put as much hellfire and brimstone on things that involve people as some individuals do incidents like Michael Vick's, then the world would be a much more compassionate place for everyone. Humans, that is.
