It's Football Time!

Oh it's that time of the year. It's the most wonderful time and no not Christmas. IT'S FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE! Of course, it also is around the nation but hey if your from where I'm from this is a great catch phrase. Now at this moment I am being a little biased but it's a pigskin party for all lovers of the gridiron. I understand baseball is supposed to be America's past time but lets face it football has taken over. Fantasy leagues, Sunday viewing parties, and my lovely wife and myself along with my children screaming at the television. Life doesn't get any better than that.

College or pro? Some people have a choice and it's usually do due to what city or town you live in or hail from. Now in my great Volunteer state football rules during this time of year. College, pro and even high school. I personally live and breathe for the Titans. My wife and her entire family (and this is not an exaggeration)- they bleed orange. I indeed get a little carried away when watching the Titans but was exonerated of my buck wildness when partaking in the watching of a Tennessee Vols game with my father-in-law. But what's really sweet is to watch my wife and my mother-in-law lose their Southern Belle persona during a botched play. For me this time of year is even more of a family time because of the passion my family and even my friends exhibit for the game. Even one my good friends who is a Penn State, Vanderbilt, and Cowboys fan shows intense emotion while he is normally and even keel kinda guy. I despise the last team mentioned, which makes our arguments even more fun. The point is, enjoy this time of year and:

GO TENNESSEE TITANS!!!!!!!!

{wife says...} Oh honey!! Don't forget - "GO VOLS!"

Yes I agree! August is here! That means schools are back in session here in TN. That also means football! Yes...you are correct! Even I show intense emotion when these four teams play. I am especially ready for the Black & Gold season. I have not received my season tix yet, but I am prepared to watch 9 (yes i said nine) game LIVE! I am even doing my cubicle up at my job with Black & Gold. All four of my teams will have a good year. You are probably wondering...how in the hell do I have 2 college and 2 pro teams. if you know me...than you know the stories. As my good friend said: enjoy this time of year!
